Postcards Around the Clock (Virtual Event)

The WDC is co-hosting a great virtual event with the Downtown Nasty Women Social Group in NYC who are holding their 3rd Postcard Around The Clock 24 hour event. It's a zoom event from Sept 23 at 7:30pm - Sept 24th 7:30pm.

It's not necessary that participants join the zoom for the full 24 hours. Participants can join & leave as they wish throughout. It's a time to listen to speakers while writing postcards to voters - or letters or any other Get Out The Vote work that you do from home - or just listen in.

There are other Democratic Committees and Clubs co-hosting, too. The guests are AMAZING -- Senator Cory Booker! Heather Cox Richardson and Robert Hubbell! Simon Rosenberg, Jess Craven, Joyce Vance! Check out the list.

Birding by Ear with Peter Schoenberger

The walk will start at 8 AM sharp as the birds take their naps mid-morning. Learn the basics of identifying our local birds by the songs they sing and the sounds of their voices. Peter will show us patterns of sound to listen for and help us put a visual to the avian orchestra of sounds we hear all the time. After the walk, we will come back and enjoy a lovely picnic together.

An Exclusive Afternoon with Congressman Pat Ryan

Congressman Ryan recognizes the hard work the WDC does to deliver votes for our Democratic candidates. He’s happy to spend an afternoon to bolster our 2024 efforts while answering your burning questions, such as “What really goes on in the halls of Congress” and “how does he get through a day dealing with Marjorie Taylor Greene” and, of course, your important issues-based questions.
